Café Leather T-Shirt "TAKE RISKS": Manu Campa X Café
This organic cotton T-shirt “Take Risks” is one of the items that belong to Cafe Leather's Pioneers capsule, the result of our collaboration with the artist Manu Campa. The T-shirt is made of 100% organic cotton and incorporates small details of our characteristic leather. Through this capsule, we pay tribute to great pioneers of motor history who dared to do what no one had done until then.
“Take Risks” makes reference to the history of Jean-Claude Rude. The professional cyclist Jean-Claude Rude set out to break the speed record by bicycle, with the help of the pilot Henri Pescarolo and a Porsche 935 Turbo adapted from the Martini team. He had to overcome Dr. Allan Abbott, who got 223 km/h in 1973. After all the required preparation, in 1978 Jean-Claude tried, unsuccessfully, because he lost control of his bicycle and slid for hundreds of meters along the raceway edge until he lost speed. Although Rude did not suffer any injuries after his fall, he could never break the record, since he died in an accident a year later.
