Zeitgeist is a new composition of the long-standing perfume brand J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin: it embodies the contrasting multifacetedness of the presence and its sensual dichotomy. A conglomerate of sexiness and freshness, changeability and avantgarde.
The fresh scent with the complementary attributes is intended to represent the modern side of the capital. Modern Berlin combines contrasts such as the new architecture in areas of the former Berlin Wall like Potsdamer Platz, with many parks and green nature in the city. Internationally renowned perfumer Véronique Nyberg combined these opposites with a pungent Amber Xtreme and the seductive Peru balsame in the top note of the fragrance. Because of the many lakes and waterfronts of Wannsee and Müggelsee, she was inspired to add the aquatic note of algae absolute to Zeitgeist. The woody finish of Leatherwood in the base note completes Zeitgeist. Due to its simultaneous changeability and consistency, the puristic and modern fragrance is already a classic in the Schwarzlose range.

Schwarzlose is Germany's only historic perfume house that is still active today. As a supplier to the royal and imperial courts, the brand is renowned for creating iconic fragrances such as 1A- 33, Trance, Rosa Centifolia, Treffpunkt 8 Uhr (Rendezvous at 8 o'clock) and many more. Schwarzlose created the 'must have' scents during Berlins ‘golden’, roaring 1920s, one of the first perfume campaign featuring a celebrity (starring movie star Edmonde Guy). Today the brand views its rich tradition as a commitment to create unique products with substance - relevant, authentic concepts and original, innovative scents. Everything is developed and made by hand near the historical Schwarzlose location in Berlin Moabit.
